"We want to introduce you to a new hero – the sixteen-year-old Gracie Bowen. Gracie is a gutsy teenage girl who rocks at soccer and stands up to boys. Do you think you have what it takes to be Gracie? If you do, audition today.

Gracie’s story takes place in the late 1970s. Moved by a personal tragedy, Gracie struggles to show her community that girls can compete with boys. Although the adults in her life make things difficult at times, Gracie relies on her closest relationships to find success in a way that she never expected.

The movie script is inspired by events in the life of Elisabeth Shue. Growing up in the late 1970s before girls’ soccer became popular, Lisa played hard against boys to prove herself. Her determination as a teenager helped her become the successful actress she is today.

Elisabeth, an Academy Award Nominee, will assist in producing the movie and in coaching Gracie as an actress. (Remember, you do not need prior acting experience to audition.)

Andrew Shue, once a regular on Melrose Place and a professional soccer player in Africa and Major League Soccer in America, will coordinate production of the film and play the part of Gracie’s father, Danny Bowen. The relationship between Gracie and her father is the centerpiece of this family story.

John Shue, a former soccer standout at Harvard University and graduate of Harvard Business School, will lead the marketing and business efforts required to successfully launch the film.

We already have most of what we need to make a blockbuster movie. What we are missing is you. Are you Gracie or are you one of the boys we need to make the soccer scenes awesome? Audition and find out.

Your audition materials must be postmarked by January 4, 2005, so check out the site and start the audition process today." Visit FindingGracie.Com for full info on the film.
